Description:
Sulzer, a global leader in innovative parts and maintenance solutions for rotating equipment, is seeking a Technical Field Authority to join their expanding steam turbine and compressor business in the UK. The role involves overseeing on-site work, liaising with clients, and ensuring quality control during dismantling, inspection, and reassembly activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess job opportunities, develop work scope specifications, and outline project timelines and resource requirements.
- Supervise field service personnel and subcontractors on-site, ensuring safety and quality control.
- Liaise with clients to provide progress updates and technical recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with inspection requirements and project schedules.
- Coordinate with Project Manager and stakeholders on tender cost creation, equipment supply, and mitigating program impacts.
- Lead site teams in inspection, rebuild activities, equipment start-up, and re-commissioning.
- Prepare and finalize project documentation, including reports, QA packs, and recommended spares lists.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Technical Field Authority or similar supervisory role in turbo services, steam turbines, or multistage compression equipment.
- Expertise in dismantling, repair, reassembly, and re-commissioning of equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Good understanding of the UK turbo services supply chain.
- Experience in personnel management.
