Description:
London Square, a leading and award-winning residential and mixed-use developer owned by Aldar, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to oversee technical and managerial aspects of its construction projects in Greater London. Established in 2010, London Square has successfully delivered nearly 5000 homes across various tenures, including prime, mid-market, and affordable housing through its independent provider, Square Roots. The company is committed to high-quality design, sustainability, and exceptional customer service.
This role is primarily based on-site at Brook Green, with occasional travel to the head office in Uxbridge.
Technical Leadership:
Review and approve designs, specifications, and construction methods.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Provide guidance to the construction team and recommend consultants.
Implement best practices in construction technology and management.
Project Management:
Oversee design processes from planning to project completion.
Ensure consultants prepare detailed designs aligning with Employers Requirements and Contractors Proposals.
Manage design development with emphasis on value engineering and buildability.
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Health, Safety & Environment:
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout design and construction phases.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as a primary contact for clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Implement robust quality control procedures.
Oversee compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Sustainability & Innovation:
Promote sustainable construction practices.
Documentation & Reporting:
Manage production and distribution of working drawings, specifications, and reports.
Minimum of 4 years as a Senior Technical Coordinator or Technical Manager.
Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Strong knowledge of building regulations, health & safety legislation, and modern construction techniques, including high-rise concrete frame and high-risk buildings.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and project management tools.
Relevant professional qualifications (RICS, RIBA, CIOB desirable) and minimum Level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 or equivalent).
