Technical Manager

Description:

As the Technical Manager, you’ll hold responsibility for leading the technical function on site. This includes managing two Technical Coordinators and overseeing a wide range of external design consultants. Your role will be critical in driving design delivery, ensuring technical compliance, and supporting smooth coordination between construction, design, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the technical design process across multiple phases of the development
• Oversee and mentor two Technical Coordinators, providing guidance and support
• Manage and coordinate external consultants (architects, structural & M&E engineers, façade specialists, etc.)
• Ensure design information is delivered in line with project programmes and build sequence
• Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
• Resolve design and construction interface issues efficiently, maintaining programme and quality standards
• Liaise closely with commercial and construction teams to mitigate risks and ensure buildability
• Monitor compliance with Building Regulations, NHBC, planning conditions, and developer’s design standards
• Report directly to the Project Director, providing technical updates and risk management input.
