Technical Operator

Description:

Carlsberg Britvic, a newly formed integrated beverage powerhouse, is seeking a Technical Operator to join its Rugby production site, the largest within the company. The Rugby site is responsible for 65% of Carlsberg Britvic’s total production volume, manufacturing well-known brands like Pepsi, 7UP, Tango, Gatorade, and Fruit Shoot across Can, PET, and Aseptic production lines.

As a Technical Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining production machinery to achieve efficiency targets while ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, and health & safety standards. You will work within a highly flexible and multi-skilled team, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Operate and monitor production machinery to achieve efficiency and performance targets.
✔ Conduct first-line maintenance, preventive maintenance (PPMs), and routine diagnostics, including lubrication schedules.
✔ Manage raw materials within assigned zones and reconcile usage/wastage.
✔ Perform quality checks and report results according to established procedures.
✔ Complete product changeovers within agreed timeframes.
✔ Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and health & safety standards.
✔ Work towards continuous performance improvement for both self and team.
✔ Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to cross-functional improvement projects.
✔ Assist in training others to operate workstations to approved standards.
✔ Maintain high hygiene and housekeeping standards in all operational areas.
✔ Utilize SAP and other business control systems for effective product inventory management and traceability.

Requirements:

✔ Production experience (preferred but not essential).
✔ Ability to work independently and take appropriate action when required.
✔ Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
✔ Flexibility to work across different production areas.
✔ Familiarity with SAP is beneficial.

Education/Qualification:

✔ Basic standard of education, capable of achieving NVQ Level II or equivalent.
✔ Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
