Role Overview:

The FIRAS Inspector will conduct inspections, competency assessments, and audits for FIRAS certified companies, ensuring compliance with technical standards. This is a remote role covering the South East of the UK.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and organise inspections of applicant installer companies

  • Perform sampled site inspections

  • Assess competencies of supervisors, technicians, and operatives employed by FIRAS certified companies

  • Document and report outcomes from client visits

  • Provide technical advice on scheme rules and regulations to clients and enquirers


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical experience in passive fire protection (contractor, product manufacturer, or testing/approval body)

  • Customer-facing experience with strong communication skills

  • Knowledge of structural steel boarding, fire-rated ducting, glazing, partition systems, penetration, roller shutter doors, cementitious spray, fire doors, cavity barriers, intumescent paint

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook) and mobile/laptop devices

  • Good general education

  • On-site inspection experience

  • Ability to prioritise, organise, and coordinate workload

  • Clean driving license and full UK passport
