Technical Training Instructor

 

Description:

The role of the Technical Training Instructor is to deliver and assess both accredited and non-accredited programmes within their skillset. We are specifically looking for Street Works trainers, but would welcome applicants from trainers across our provision, please look on our website for our portfolio.

 

The instructor must maintain a high-quality standard of theory, hands-on training and assessment following the awarding organisation's criteria, and in line with our quality strategy.

 

The role

 

The role will involve (and not limited to the following):

 

  • Plan and deliver training and assessment within your set of skills, knowledge and registration, ensuring adherence to the Education Inspection Framework, where applicable.
  • Development of robust training materials.
  • Manage health and safety during training and assessment and on a day-to-day basis, promoting safe working practices and eliminate any bad practice.
  • Support Sales Coordinator, Marketing Executive and clients where applicable, in the marketing and selling of a course.
  • Drive improvement in training efficiency by reviewing your individual performance, managing resource and engaging in peer reviews.
  • Adhere to training quality systems to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure all learner records and reporting is kept up to date and provided in a timely manner to support management reporting and audit requirements.
  • Provide robust and impartial information, advice and guidance to learners throughout their learner journey.
  • Attend training, standardisations, and development courses to maintain and develop relevant knowledge and skills, ensuring your own CPD is planned and is kept up to date and logged in line with company procedures.
  • Produce training materials and help in the development of new courses.
  • Manage and maintain the working condition of all materials, equipment and machinery owned and leased by the company.
  • Work closely with direct team and other team members, to continually seek to improve internal processes, with the overall aim of making the company more efficient, competitive and ultimately more profitable.
  • Conduct your role in line with the behaviour aligned with our company values.
  • Comply with and follow all processes within our safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety of all learners is paramount.

Reporting to

 

The role will report into the Operations Manager.

Qualifications and experience

 

  • Technical and practical application within their current and previous disciplines and job roles.
  • Appropriate vocational qualifications.
  • Minimum of GCSE grade in maths and English.
  • Recognised level 3 teaching and assessing qualifications (or working towards).
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety.
  • Strong verbal, written and IT skills, ensuring communication is clear, positive and always in the spirit of the company's Core Values.
