Technical Web Analyst

Description:

Harnham, a leading analytics recruitment firm, is hiring a Technical Web Analyst (Contract) for a major travel brand undergoing a large-scale digital transformation. The company is focused on enhancing its online booking experience, personalisation efforts, and data-driven marketing strategies. This position will play a critical role in the end-to-end implementation of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and the management of Google Tag Manager (GTM) across all customer-facing digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead GA4 implementation across web and app platforms, ensuring comprehensive tracking of customer behavior across the entire travel booking journey

• Manage the deployment of analytics and marketing tags using Google Tag Manager, optimizing for performance and scalability

• Develop and maintain detailed documentation and governance for tagging infrastructure, dataLayer specifications, and reporting structures

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, UX, and development to capture, prioritize, and execute tracking requirements

• Conduct post-implementation monitoring and provide data-driven insights to enhance customer experience and digital performance

• Translate digital data into actionable business intelligence and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders

Skills & Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience with GA4, user journey tracking, and tag implementation

• Strong expertise in Google Tag Manager, especially within dynamic and transaction-heavy environments

• Proficiency with dataLayer management, debugging tools, and QA of analytics implementations

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience creating insight-rich reports

• Desirable: Experience in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry and familiarity with online booking funnels
