Description:
SystemsAccountants are working with a leading international organisation within the finance and business sector who are looking for a Cloud Accounting Systems Senior Manager to lead projects, manage client relationships, and ensure successful system implementations. The role will involve managing projects, engaging with clients, demonstrating system functionality, problem-solving, customizing reports, and managing teams. The role also involves commercial aspects like building client relationships, communicating with stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for business development. The successful candidate will have expertise in accounting / finance, a background in cloud software implementation, and strong skills in project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead project teams, monitor progress, and resolve issues. Determine resource requirements and monitor progress against budget and timeframe.
- Business Analysis: Gather, review, document and analyse business finance function requirements for clients
- Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for systems and finance processes improvements, for example by running workshops and demonstrations with clients
- System Implementation: Oversee system implementation and migration projects.
- Management: overseeing the team of System Accountants and Business Analysts for implementation and migration projects
- Client Support: Resolve system problems during User Acceptance Testing and through Go-Live, as well as providing training.
- Stakeholder Communication: Keep clients informed and manage their expectations
- Client Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of clients, including billing and profitability.
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with risk management and quality control procedures.
- Team Management: Recruit, retain, develop, and motivate team members.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated on software developments and identify areas of improvement.
- Commercial Focus: Build and maintain client relationships, identify business opportunities, and support the team in delivering on promises.
Role requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent overseas qualification.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent understanding of the cloud accounting software market, with ability to demonstrate knowledge around key products and their advantages and limitations compared to legacy systems. Knowledge of software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Twinfields, Microsoft Business Central, Netsuite and AccountsIQ would be advantageous
- Proven experience in consulting and managing client finance and accounting software implementation projects.
- Complete understanding of all phases of the implementation methodology life cycle
- Proven ability to identify and convert opportunities to sell work and increase profitability for Business Development
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and develop staff, including mentoring, counseling, appraising, and recruiting. Capable of delivering results through others and providing effective coaching and support.
- Finance Expertise: Deep understanding of finance, including AR, AP, GL, Fixed Assets, Tax, and revenue recognition.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Proactive personality and willingness to take initiative to offer solutions promptly and focus on achieving results
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
