Test Automation Engineer

Harrington Starr are partnering with a market leader in pre- and post-trade margin and collateral analytics in the hiring of a skilled Test Automation Engineer (Python) to work closely with the Head of QA at their London offices.

This new full-time, permanent job opportunity within the derivatives sector would be ideal for a QA Engineer with demonstrable Automation skills and language experience in Python who is interested in joining a very hands-on and proactive QA team.

This is a great opportunity to work in an award-winning trading analytics platform covering front to back office, a sector truly exploding across London and ever-evolving! With recent growth across EMEA region they are building out a brilliant Quality Engineering team in Python with approximately 80% automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test cases across all functional areas of our products
• Work with Development team to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented
• Ensure the highest quality product delivery, working within a team of QA Engineers
• Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
• Participate in three amigos sessions with development and product teams to ensure changes are fully understood and QA is involved from the start of the change process
• Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

This opportunity would suit a QA Engineer with experience in both manual and automated testing frameworks.

• 4+ years of QA testing experience with demonstrable and significant experience in Automation
• Demonstrable language experience in Python
• Experience with executing automation tests on CI/CD
• Experience in working with cloud-based environments (Preferably AWS)
• Strong experience in Automating frontend, backend and API testing
• Experience with tools such as Selenium, Cucumber/Gherkin, Rest Assured, Zephyr, GitLab
• Financial Industry experience is advantageous
• SQL Knowledge and Performance Testing knowledge is advantageous
