Test Engineer

Clark Door are seeking a qualified Installation Electrician, low voltage work. This is a permanent role based in the company’s Research & Development Facility located in Carlisle (knowledge of door systems not essential). The role is to work as part of a small team installing, wiring & functional testing the company’s products. Our products cover a wide range of doors with different control systems & sensors. Our doors function in many configurations and many sizes. This role does require an individual with mechanical aptitude as well. Simply put, there is much variety in work content. Predominantly factory based in this role there will also be opportunity to support our service & installation teams – dependent upon workload and interest in some travel. This provides the individual with experience and insight into the company’s objective, of manufacturing thoroughly tested world class products for our numerous customers all around the world. We are looking for the right candidate to gain familiarisation and experience of our products to be able to provide technical support for our customers. On occasion some of our products are third party tested at laboratories where individual participation may be required (dependent upon desire to travel occasionally to further develop learning). This role would suit a qualified Electrician from a construction background, but is not limited to. Please note the role does require working at height.
