Description:
As a Therapeutic Support Manager at Lifestyle Solutions, you will lead a team of support workers providing therapeutic care to children and young people in Out of Home Care. Your role will include managing staff, ensuring quality care delivery, and coordinating essential tasks to maintain a high standard of service in this critical sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support, supervision, and coaching to a team of Therapeutic Youth Workers.
- Manage rosters and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Coordinate the day-to-day care of children and young people in the service.
- Monitor and implement documentation, care plans, and reviews.
- Ensure quality life story work by the Therapeutic Youth Workers.
- Handle informal and formal complaints and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
- Complete at least two rostered shifts per week, as part of the ongoing roster.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Management experience with children and young people in Out of Home Care, particularly those with disabilities and complex care needs due to trauma.
- Experience in managing staff in high-crisis situations.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, Out of Home Care Standards, and policies.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and culturally diverse communities.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and administration skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Full current driver’s license.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Willingness to work outside of business hours.
