Trainee Accountant

Description:

The successful candidate will assist the Management Accounts Teams with day to day activities including the processing of journals and financial reporting. They will also work with budget holders across the University assisting in activities such as costing and forecasting.

This is a development role that will allow the candidate to be involved in wide range of activities and the salary will increase as the candidate progresses through their supported study which will be fully funded by York St John University.

Key Requirements

We are looking for an individual who is proactive and looking to progress in a career in accounting. Candidates should be AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent) and be prepared to continue further study upon commencing the role. Financial support for further study will be provided by the University. Although experience of working in Higher Education is desirable, we also welcome applications from candidates who have worked in other sectors.
