Trainee Orthopaedic Practitioner

Description:

The Trainee Orthopaedic Practitioner is a member of the Outpatients team. The post holder will work with qualified Orthopaedic Practitioners at both St Richards and Worthing Hospitals providing support for Fracture and Orthopaedic Clinics, Virtual Fracture Clinic, Emergency Department and wards. The post holder may have to attend other Trust sites during their training to gain the relevant work experience.

You will work closely with qualified orthopaedic practitioners and the multi-disciplinary team providing support to all patients that require casting, splinting and wound care. In return you will have the opportunity to develop the skills required and study towards the British Orthopaedic Association's British Casting Certificate. This is a fully funded residential course run over 6 weeks at Stanmore Orthopaedic Hospital, London.
