Trainee Underwriter

Description:

The team is responsible for digital accounts covering both commercial motor and commercial business, along with building credible relationships with brokers. As the Digital Underwriter, you will be aligned to a portfolio of customers/brokers and be responsible for proactively developing our SME digital book of business. You will deliver excellent broker/customer experience and technical underwriting support in a fast-paced multi demand channel environment.

• Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills. Enthusiastic, motivated and keen to learn with the ability to multitask
• Computer Literate, comfortable navigating multiple systems
• Excellent communication, listening and negotiating skills, and passionate about delivering brilliant customer service to build and maintain positive relationships with brokers to drive business growth
• Confident decision maker, with strong initiative and high-learning agility
• Ability to work independently, within underwriting authority, handling more complex risks and experience working in a team environment, conferring where appropriate
