Description:
Fidelis Insurance Group (FIG), a specialist insurer and reinsurer headquartered in Bermuda with additional offices in London and Dublin, is hiring a Underwriting Portfolio Analytics Manager to join their dynamic underwriting team. Operating in a publicly listed SEC reporting environment, this is a critical hybrid role in the City of London designed to contribute to strategic and analytical underwriting oversight across the organization.
The selected candidate will directly report to the Underwriting Portfolio Director and will play a significant part in managing Fidelis IG’s net underwriting portfolio by delivering high-quality analytics, diagnostics, and data-driven insights. This individual will act as a vital bridge between underwriting strategy, portfolio governance, and executive-level decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management:
Support monthly portfolio oversight and reporting for committees and board-level discussions.
Conduct detailed underwriting and performance analyses to inform material changes to the business plan.
Evaluate portfolio structure and product risk profiles while factoring in outwards reinsurance dynamics.
Perform gross-to-net impact assessments and liaise with actuarial teams on economic forecasting.
Data Ownership & Modeling:
Maintain and manage the Underwriting Data Model with accountability for monthly processing, validation, and version control.
Optimize output for internal use, ensuring data accuracy and strategic relevance.
Strategic & Business Development:
Collaborate in evaluating the annual business plan, ensuring trading partner strategies align with Fidelis IG’s risk appetite.
Conduct strategic market and commercial analysis covering exposure, loss trends, and macroeconomic impacts.
Assist in underwriting diversification initiatives and due diligence processes.
Contribute to business projects including reinsurance documentation and rating agency submissions.
Governance & Oversight:
Provide data and reporting to support compliance with underwriting principles and governance frameworks.
Team Collaboration & Culture:
Foster strong internal relationships and align cross-functional efforts with broader organizational goals.

Skills & Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in global specialty (re)insurance, with multi-class exposure.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI (including DAX, VBA), with SQL knowledge as an advantage.
Strong understanding of reinsurance and Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) business is desirable.
Proven ability in data modeling, portfolio analysis, and presenting strategic insights.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail, quality-focused, and capable of managing dynamic workflows.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CII) preferred.
