Venue Operation Manager

 

Description:

The Operations Manager will hold overall responsibility for the planning and delivery of all operational aspects of clients’ events at our Venue. They will be hands-on in this role for our major events and contracts. For our smaller projects, they will oversee and guide the operational planning and delivery. They will provide methodology, systems and working templates to ensure our ways of working are consistent. They will line manage, mentor, and train the individuals who are holding the operations role for our smaller projects to disseminate knowledge and experience amongst the wider team to develop the team’s skills and capacity.

We are looking for someone to join the team for the long-term and intend that the successful candidate will grow and develop with Social Pantry and be a central part of the company and its future.

Social Pantry has two neighbourhood cafes are the go-to venue for intimate, exclusive and exciting events. From micro weddings to supper club and brand collaborations the sites are the brilliant, affordable South London venues with huge potential.

Key Responsibilities

· Planning and managing events within budget and objectives, working closely with the event planner to ensure all elements of the event are delivered.

· Preparation of Event Production Schedules and Driver Schedules

· Production of Event Management Plans (EMP)

· Oversight of event safety, working with a H&S Advisor where necessary.

· Licensing – Licence & permissions applications where applicable.

· Work closely with the staffing manager on procurement and recruitment of operational contractors and staff.

· Oversight of crew, artist, and public accreditation

· Transport management planning

· Event Control management

· Security and Stewarding management where applicable

· Where required supervising and training event operatives and resolving any problems that might occur.

· Deliver exceptional customer experience.

· Ensure the safe operations of both guests and employees at events.

· Analyse drink stock levels and ordering to fulfil event requirements.

· Provide monthly financial trackers for operational budgets.

· Develop and nurture relationships with suppliers.

· Methodical approach to event delivery.

· Have a flexible approach to work, understanding that event deliverables can change last minute.

· Able to look at detail in one project but consider all other events and company operations.

· Attention to detail.

· Excellent communication skills
