Veterinary Surgeon

Description:

This role at Hayes End is an excellent opportunity for a confident vet who wishes to take ownership of their client base with part-time support from an experienced senior vet. The position is a first opinion GP role with a surgical bias welcome, supported by a well-equipped practice that includes dental x-ray facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop your own client base

• Work 35-40 hours per week including Saturday rota (1 in 3) and hospital Sunday rota (1 in 8)

• Participate in 1 bank holiday rota per year at Mandeville Hospital

• Collaborate with a part-time senior vet (10am-2pm), RVNs, trainee nurses, regional manager, and regional head vet for clinical support

• Refer complex cases to Goddard Mandeville Veterinary Hospital, which provides out-of-hours care and advanced diagnostic and surgical support

• No on-call duties required for this role

Practice Facilities and Support:

• Practice suited for vets with a surgical focus, previously led by an orthopaedic surgeon

• Dental x-ray facility available

• Access to advanced diagnostics (CT scanner, ultrasound) and a skilled medical and surgical team at Mandeville Hospital

Benefits:

• Salary range of £45,000 to £65,000 (FTE) depending on experience, with room for growth
