Ignite Hubs is an innovative education charity dedicated to providing learning opportunities to children and young people aged 7 to 18 years old. Our mission is to ignite the potential of young minds, giving them skills, connections, and experiences to thrive in future careers.

We teach coding and STEM to nearly 200 students per week, and we have already positively impacted over 1,000 children and young people. Our work particularly focuses on engaging underrepresented groups, including girls, children with special educational needs (SEN), and those from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping close the representation gap in the technology and STEM sectors.

With an ambitious plan to expand our impact nationwide, we are launching a YouTube Channel to reach more children and young people through digital content. To make this vision a reality, we are hiring a talented and creative Video Editor with strong production skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Video Editing:

• Edit video footage into engaging, educational content for Ignite Hubs’ YouTube Channel, TikTok, and Instagram.
• Ensure all videos are visually appealing, on-brand, and appropriate for a young audience.
• Enhance storytelling and production value by adding graphics, animations, captions, music, and creative elements.
• Optimise videos for YouTube by adding tags, descriptions, and captions to improve visibility and engagement.

Video Production:

• Collaborate with Instructors to develop video concepts, storyboards, and scripts.
• Offer creative input to ensure high production quality.
• Organise and manage all video assets—footage, graphics, and final edits—ensuring proper storage and easy retrieval.

About You:
We are looking for someone who has:
✅ Passion for transforming children’s lives through education.
✅ Proven experience editing and creating video content for YouTube (Essential).
✅ Interest in coding, technology, and/or STEM (Bonus).
✅ Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
✅ Knowledge of video production processes, including filming, lighting, and sound.
✅ Strong creative storytelling skills to produce engaging educational content.
✅ Experience with animation and motion graphics (e.g., After Effects) is a plus.
✅ Familiarity with creating content for children and young people (Bonus).
