Visiting Lecturer

Description:

The University of Law Business School is expanding its team of Visiting Lecturers and is seeking applicants with a specialism in Cyber Security and Marketing. The role will involve delivering postgraduate and undergraduate courses in Business Management at the centrally located London Moorgate campus, in the heart of the City of London Finance District.

As a Visiting Lecturer, you will be responsible for providing tuition across the University’s Business School course portfolio. This includes delivering both Cyber Security (postgraduate courses only) and Marketing (both postgraduate and undergraduate courses). You will also be responsible for marking assignments, providing feedback to students, and supporting them through queries and academic challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching & Assessment:

   • Teach and assess students across The University of Law Business School’s course portfolio, including assignments, presentations, and feedback.

2. Student Support:

   • Provide individual feedback on students' performances and assist with any academic queries.

3. Adapting to Learning Styles:

   • Respond flexibly to the different learning styles of students and varying methods of course delivery.

4. Organizing & Prioritizing Workload:

   • Manage your workload effectively to meet the demands of the contract.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Business or Management (or professional qualifications such as qualified accountant or CFA).

• Experience in teaching in Higher Education and working within an educational institution.

• Strong understanding of academic theory and business practice within the relevant discipline.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

• Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities in a busy environment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirements:

• Flexibility in terms of working hours to meet the demands of the contract.

• Willingness to engage in initiatives to build awareness of the Business School.

• Ability to provide the right to work in the UK (please see the GOV.UK checklist).
