Visual Engineer

We are currently seeking skilled & experienced AV professionals to join the team in the role of Media Audio-Visual Engineer. If you have a proven level of experience in professional AV, are enthusiastic and motivated then these posts provide an exciting opportunity to work in a busy team with a varied and rewarding remit and in the outstanding environment of the University of Manchester.

Your role will include provision of a full audio-visual, (AV), support service across campus including client consultation, design, installation, configuration, maintenance, fault diagnosis and support of a wide range of Audio-Visual systems and facilities. Also, to liaise directly with internal and external event clients, identify their needs, design the solutions and oversee the successful delivery of the events with other team members while constantly striving for increased professionalism.

Supporting our colleagues and clients and is key to the success of our services and you will have the opportunity to directly input into the success of academic delivery, events, and a wide range of activities related to university business. You will also provide guidance to the Support Technicians and take the lead role on installation and event activities supported by them.

The candidates we’re looking for will have excellent skills, knowledge and experience in varied, professional AV technologies and systems, significant live event experience, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, the desire to continually improve and update knowledge and will be able to work effectively and efficiently in a busy, professional team.
