As a Warehouse Manager representing this esteemed company, you will lead the Operational Depot in Sheffield. In this role, you'll oversee staff and ensure all operational activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, aligning with the company's strategic objectives. working with the management team, your responsibilities will include maintaining secure facilities, upholding company values, and ensuring safe working practices.

A dynamic and fast-growing company, based in Kent with over 25 years of establishment, specializes in providing support to control site environment hazards. Dedicated to the well-being of site personnel and the public, they focus on protecting against dust, fumes, and noise, with a mission to safeguard long-term health on-site. The main operations center is in Dartford, with an additional hub in Chesterfield and mobile engineer support across the country.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Ensure all facilities are secure and maintained to agreed working standards.
  • Demonstrate the company culture and values, becoming an authoritative influence in this area.
  • Adopt the role of H&S 'competent person' for the site, ensuring safe working practices.
  • Manage direct reports to ensure tasks and KPIs are consistently met.
  • Oversee effective training of team members and conduct 1-to-1 meetings.
  • Supervise the 'ready for hire process' of all equipment and ensure agreed SLAs are maintained.
  • Oversee the dispatch process and ensure agreed SLAs are met.
  • Liaise with Operations Logistics teams for collections and dispatches to meet KPIs.
  • Ensure effective management of stock control for all plant and consumables.
  • Manage goods inwards (stock and capex) and ensure timely QC checks.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Line Manager.
  • Assist with installations and equipment breakdowns as required.
  • Maintain a high level of site health and safety awareness across the team.
  • Assist Operations and Finance Managers in maintaining effective budgetary controls for the depot.
     

Experience & Skills Required
 

  • Warehouse supervision/managerial experience.
  • Driving license essential.
  • Logistics experience is advantageous.
  • Problem-solving and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, working environment, and team members.
  • Excellent attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Forklift license preferable but not essential (training provided).
