Description:

The Environment Agency seeks a Senior Advisor to support and manage carbon management tools within the Asset Management Business Systems Team (AMBST). The role involves supporting EA and external users of operational carbon tools, implementing digital improvements, managing resources and funding, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This position is key to embedding carbon management across infrastructure programmes and ensuring asset management systems operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support EA and external users of operational carbon tools.

  • Manage and deliver services for carbon tool users and maintain service agreements.

  • Serve as senior product user for digital improvement projects of carbon tools and data.

  • Plan and manage user activities for implementation of carbon tool updates and improvements.

  • Manage resources and funding for carbon tools support and maintenance.

  • Collaborate with operational carbon communities, national leads, and IT suppliers.

  • Work with internal teams, including FCRM, Operations, and DDTS, as well as external stakeholders like Local Authorities and Water Companies.

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in carbon management for infrastructure assets, projects, or programs.

  • Knowledge and experience in asset management or infrastructure business processes.

  • Experience in digital tool development and user implementation services.

  • Skills in stakeholder engagement, effective communication, and training/documentation.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Focus on efficiency, innovation, quality, and customer/partner satisfaction.

  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
