Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Web Developer capable of developing and testing website features that attract and engage with our many stakeholders.

With the direction and in collaboration with the Web Manager, you will take an active lead on the programming and implementation of website features using client-side and server-side web technologies/knowledge, ensuring a streamlined connection between front-end designs & concepts and back-end integrations of features that provide a rich & engaging online experience. You'll be developing and problem-solving with the University's Content Management System and various teams around the University IT Services, working on integrations with provided API's and integral web systems using open-source technologies like PHP, JavaScript, JSON, XML and more.

Beyond the technical elements of the role, you'll also work with colleagues in the Web Team and IT Services to provide support and advice on technical aspects of website development and technical governance, including responsibility for processes and workflows that ensure a high-quality delivery of service and output. An ability to be organised and manage several projects at once is essential, along with strong communication skills. You'll collaborate with other creative teams within the department as well as stakeholders across the university as our team acts as first line support to our website users.
