Description:
You’ll have a wide range of additional responsibilities, including assisting with the upkeep of tooling and stock levels, and the development of technical skills that are outside your current area of expertise. We’ll also expect you to give and receive feedback as a participant of our Task Assessment and Performance Development Review, and assist with research and development into potential future products and services. Coaching and supervising apprentices, and identifying areas for their development will be another of your key tasks, as will the maintenance of your own professional knowledge and expertise.

With a Level 2 qualification in Electronics, or equivalent experience, you’ll have good knowledge of workshop Health & Safety, and relevant Machine Safety Regulations, Machinery Safe Use Approved Codes of Practice (ACOP - HSE 1998 PUWER). We’ll also expect you to have specific training in the safe use and operation of workshop machines, and be capable of interpreting technical documents and engineering drawings, standards and specifications.
Ready to operate effectively as a key member of our team, you’ll be working with a wide range of stakeholders and customers, so we’ll look for excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in a range of engineering, machining and fitting operations would be desirable, as would First Aid and Fire Warden skills.
