Wtg Technical Manager

Description:

You will play an integral part in all the wind projects we are delivering for our Clients in Europe, Africa and Latin America. You will be leading on the development of the Employers Requirements (ERs) and the technical – commercial content of the Turbine Supply Agreements (TSA), supporting the project managers on the projects we are delivering. During contract execution, you will be ensuring that all the stages of the project, relating to the Turbine supply comply with the ERs. You will be a key participant in discussions with WTG Suppliers, supporting the project managers. You will also provide detailed technical advice on WTG technology and insights on current market developments.

As part of our Renewables team, you will be responsible to:

• Provide advice to development, procurement and construction related to WTG technology for Owner’s Engineer (OE) services we provide to our Clients.
• Interact with the EYA and GIS team, supporting with suitability reviews of WTG for site conditions and site layouts and assist by identifying project specific risks.
• Support the project managers on advising Clients on the development of the ERs / Minimum Functional Specifications.
• Support our Clients in negotiation of the technical and techno-commercial content of the TSA & O&M contracts.
• Support the project managers on projects for delivery of the TSA (including reviewing turbine supplier documentation, claims, opine on the project programme and other TSA deliverables)
• Provide support for reviewing/inspecting the WTG suppliers’ delivery of their scope of services.
• Coordinate and attend, if required, site visits and WTG inspections.
• Support resolution of technical related issues/aspects with the WTG and interfaces with the grid, SCADA, with support as required from other engineers from our Renewables team.
• Monitor progress and assessing the WTG supplier’s progress reports.
• Review and comment on testing and commissioning reports issued by WTG suppliers.
