Description:
Ashbury is seeking a proactive and strategic Account Director to manage and grow a major retailer client account, leading its commercial development and service delivery across all operational levels. The role is remote but includes monthly in-person visits to the client’s London office.
As a key member of the commercial team, you will lead client engagements, manage commercial negotiations, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality regulatory and product development services. Your ability to problem-solve, lead teams, and communicate across all levels will be crucial in building a strong client relationship.
You will work closely with internal regulatory and international specialists to ensure continuous improvement and optimal service alignment with the client's business goals.
Lead and grow a major retailer account, owning its commercial and strategic direction
Manage day-to-day service operations to ensure client satisfaction and delivery excellence
Conduct weekly update meetings with the client and handle any service concerns or issues
Oversee monthly governance reporting
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including graphic and technical system providers
Negotiate contracts for new and existing services
Align internal resources and develop team capabilities to deliver exceptional service
Ensure your presence and influence is recognized at the strategic client level ("top table")
Retail or FMCG sector experience, preferably food-related
Strategic and operational decision-making capability
Excellent communication, negotiation, and diplomacy skills
Ability to handle a fast-paced workload and shift priorities
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and product development processes is advantageous
