Description:
The Independent Clinical Network is seeking dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join its growing team of professionals, either remotely or in hybrid roles. The ideal candidate will embody core values of trust, integrity, commitment, and kindness, and be passionate about delivering high-quality neurodevelopmental assessments for children and adolescents.
You will be responsible for conducting autism and ADHD assessments for children aged 3–18 years, formulating diagnoses, and delivering compassionate, age-appropriate feedback to families. This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity for experienced clinicians to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people navigating neurodiversity.
Conduct comprehensive developmental and ADHD assessments using standard tools for children aged 3–18 years.
Observe and engage with children in an age-appropriate and empathetic manner during assessments.
Review ADOS reports, developmental histories, and collateral school/home information in the same session.
Formulate a diagnosis and communicate findings to families with compassion, including signposting to local and national resources.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) in planned clinics or where additional information is needed.
Produce detailed, high-quality diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment (admin support provided).
Request onward referrals when clinically indicated, in line with NHS Trust/ICB protocols.
GMC-registered with a valid license to practice in the UK.
CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong expertise in ASD and ADHD assessments in children and young people.
Up-to-date with appraisal and revalidation processes.

Flexible scheduling — 7 days a week, remote or hybrid options.
Up to 4 assessments/day with competitive per-assessment pay (self-employed basis).
Outside IR35 with full administrative and scheduling support.
