Description:

Pegasus Group is seeking a Director to join their Design service team in Birmingham. The role involves leading architectural projects across a diverse range of sectors, collaborating with planning, heritage, and urban design colleagues, and contributing to business growth. The Director will oversee project delivery, mentor staff, drive client engagement, and influence outcomes to expand Pegasus Group’s architectural offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural projects from concept to completion across all RIBA stages.

• Act as a trusted advisor and key contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

• Drive business development, win new work, and expand client networks.

• Manage internal teams and coordinate with external partners to ensure quality and timely delivery.

• Champion good design practices and contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the architecture discipline.

• Mentor junior staff and shape team culture.

Qualifications:

• RIBA Part III qualification or international equivalent; ARB registration preferred.

• Minimum 5 years post-registration experience in a recognised design consultancy.

• Experience delivering projects in residential, mixed-use, commercial, regeneration, or education sectors.

• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and planning frameworks.

• Advanced proficiency in Revit; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and visualisation tools is advantageous.

• Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
