Area Security Officer

As an Area Security Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and premises for government clients, while upholding G4S’s high standards of integrity, safety, and service excellence. No two days will be the same as you will cover various locations within your assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol designated sites to ensure a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors.

• Enforce site security procedures, check identification, manage access control, and respond to incidents as required.

• Conduct regular security patrols, report suspicious activities, and handle emergencies promptly and effectively.

• Greet and assist visitors, ensuring compliance with entry protocols.

• Work as part of a professional team to uphold G4S’s commitment to safety, security, and service excellence.

• Prepare accurate incident and daily activity reports.

• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining firm control over safety procedures.

Requirements:

• A valid SIA Licence (training and financial support available if not currently licensed).

• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the UK without restriction.

• A valid Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

• Willingness to work a flexible shift pattern, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

• Ability to provide a 5-year employment history for background screening in accordance with BS7858 standards.

• Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining high security standards.

• Basic computer literacy and report writing skills.
