Description:
St Austell Brewery is seeking an Assistant Manager for The Wellington, a vibrant contemporary pub located at the top of Bristol’s iconic Gloucester Road. This venue is well-regarded for its quality food, warm atmosphere, and stylish accommodation, attracting both locals and visitors throughout the year.
The Assistant Manager will act as second-in-command, ensuring smooth operations during the General Manager’s absence while maintaining excellent guest experiences and high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth running of the pub.
Motivate and support team members to deliver exceptional service.
Maintain high standards in food and beverage offerings.
Handle admin tasks, cash management, and compliance with health & safety regulations.
Monitor and respond to customer feedback to continuously improve services.
Support both Front of House and Kitchen teams during peak times.
Act as a role model and mentor for team development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience in a similar assistant managerial role within hospitality.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Ability to handle administrative and cash management tasks effectively.
Keen eye for detail and a passion for excellent customer service.
