Associate Director

Description:

Aon is seeking an Associate Director - Tech M&A to join its AMATS (Aon Mergers & Acquisitions and Transaction Solutions) Practice. This hybrid role involves advising clients globally across sectors on technology aspects of mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and integrations. The role spans the entire transaction lifecycle, including technology and product due diligence, cybersecurity, value creation, and integration planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engagements and client interactions to identify transaction risks and opportunities

• Manage corporate carve-outs and integrations including blueprints, roadmaps, day-1 readiness, cutover, and integration plans

• Support business development initiatives and participate in proposals, pursuit meetings, and client expansion opportunities

• Contribute to practice development initiatives to improve methodologies, processes, and propositions

• Lead project and pipeline management, including tracking leads, opportunities, commercials, contracting, and invoicing

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s/MBA preferred

• 8+ years total experience with 5+ years consulting in M&A, IT, Technology, or Cybersecurity

• Broad IT expertise across applications, infrastructure, networks, organisation, and strategy

• Understanding of architecture frameworks, software development practices, and cloud infrastructure

• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills

• Knowledge of cybersecurity risk management frameworks and technical risk assessments (highly desirable)
