Associate Nurse Unit Manager

This position is a maternity relieve role, reporting to the NUM of Theatres/ DPU this career opportunity has presented itself in our DPU/ Endoscopy suite at St Vincent's Fitzroy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional leadership and maintenance of clinical standards and quality care.

Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to);
 

• Constructively supports the leadership of the NUM and assumes the responsibilities of the NUM in the absence of the NUM
• Works closely with NUM to provide direction, support and advice to nursing & support personnel on a shift-by-shift basis
• Develops and distributes rosters in conjunction with the NUM to meet patient and budget requirements, and in accordance with hospital and unit rostering principals and Industrial Agreement requirements
• Monitors staff performance, providing regular constructive feedback, coaching, guidance and support to team members on shift
   

The successful candidate will have;
 

• Post graduate certificate (desirable)
• Proven experience in Endoscopy
• Current Registered Nurse Registration with AHPRA
• Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations, recent relevant emergency training
• Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office products, patient databases
• Proficiency in email software and electronic communication
