Associate Trader

Description:

Man Group, a global alternative investment management firm, is seeking an Associate Trader to join their Credit trading team in London. The firm focuses on Systematic, Discretionary, and Solutions investment strategies across public and private markets, emphasizing alternatives. The role is primarily focused on executing and managing discretionary credit trading strategies, while supporting systematic macro strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage discretionary credit trading strategies, maximising execution platforms and technology

• Support trading of systematic macro strategies

• Coordinate the company’s involvement in primary offerings and secondary trading

• Liaise with investment teams on execution strategy implementation

• Contribute to improvements in signal development, portfolio construction, risk management, and trading

• Drive development of the trading platform, infrastructure, and technology

• Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to improve discretionary trading performance

• Maintain relationships with counterparties and monitor market dynamics

Key Skills and Experience:

• 1-2 years of trading experience or relevant credit technical experience

• Coding skills in high-level programming languages (e.g., Python)

• Knowledge of trading credit instruments including Single Name Corp Credit (IG, HY, EM), Cash & CDS, Converts, Loans, and ABS

• Experience analyzing OTC or Exchange Traded Data

• Strong academic record from a leading university

• Hands-on, adaptable, and resilient with attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Team player with customer-focused, results-driven mindset
