Bim Coordinator

Description:

Rendr is proactively exploring future hiring needs and is seeking to connect with talented BIM Coordinators who specialize in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing (MEP) disciplines. Although this is not an immediate opening, Rendr is building a pipeline of skilled professionals for upcoming opportunities. Candidates with a collaborative approach, strong technical expertise, and a proactive mindset are encouraged to express their interest.

Key Responsibilities:

• Specialize in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing disciplines, including tasks like sizing ducting, piping, attenuators, and calculating pressure drops.

• Create accurate 2D drawings derived from fully coordinated 3D models.

• Manage and coordinate MEP designs, understanding MEP interfaces with surrounding disciplines such as stud wall construction and adhering to "golden rules".

• Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, Fabrication CADmep, and clash detection tools like Revizto, Navisworks, or Solibri.

• Import and coordinate models with point cloud data effectively.

• Add and manage COBie information within project datasets.

• Attend and actively contribute to coordination workshops and Microsoft Teams meetings.

• Understand construction sequencing and how it impacts proceeding trades.

• Collaborate efficiently with main contractors and within a Common Data Environment (CDE) using tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Aconex, and A-Site.

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong discipline expertise in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing; multi-discipline knowledge is a significant advantage.

• Hands-on experience in Stage 5 design environments and practical construction coordination.

• Proficient in key digital construction software (Revit, AutoCAD, Fabrication CADmep) and clash detection software (Revizto, Navisworks, Solibri).

• Experience with point cloud data integration and management of COBie information.

• Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or within a team.

• Prior experience working with main contractors and knowledge of construction sequencing preferred.
