Description:
Principal Accountabilities:
- The role is to support the cable jointer.
- Supporting the work on development sites and the public highway.
- Understanding utility plans.
- Assisting with the cable jointing.
- Assistance with Connections to substations.
- Preparation and correct use of tools and machinery.
- Carry out works in line with established safety procedures.
- Supporting the completion of risk assessments and maintain safe working practice and maintaining accurate records.
Required Qualifications & Professional Membership(s):
- Hold a valid EUSR or CSCS Card.
- Hold a valid First Aid qualification.
- DNO operational Authorisation (UKPN, preferred).
Knowledge & Experience:
- A good understanding of sustainability and health and safety.
- Be Conversant with testing procedures.
- A clean driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel and work in different locations.
- You also need to be flexible to carry out stand-by duties and attend short notice work in the event of severe weather.
- Knowledge of relevant DNO Policies and Procedures.
