Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join their dynamic Campus Operations team. Based primarily at the Clifton campus, this role will also involve support across NTU’s City, Brackenhurst, and Mansfield campuses. This is a permanent full-time position working 37 hours per week over 5 days.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing modern, high-quality meals from fresh ingredients, catering to the university’s students, staff, and guests. This includes services through restaurants, cafés, hospitality, and events. The position offers the chance to showcase innovation and culinary creativity by contributing to evolving menus and food offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce fresh, high-volume meals across campus kitchens.

• Ensure strict compliance with food hygiene, allergen control, and health & safety standards.

• Serve a broad customer base through diverse food services including hospitality and events.

• Collaborate with kitchen staff across multiple NTU campuses.

• Contribute to new menu ideas and food concepts to elevate the catering offer.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of food hygiene, allergen safety, and kitchen health protocols.

• Proven experience in large-scale food production using fresh ingredients.

• A flair for innovation and an eye for quality.

• Flexibility to work across different NTU campus locations.

• Interview Date: Week commencing 8th September 2025.
