Class 1 Driver

Description:

Major Logistics is currently seeking experienced Class 1 Drivers to join their team operating out of their national client’s depot based in Droitwich Spa. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established logistics company operating on a 24/7 basis, offering flexible shifts to suit different availability including adhoc shifts or regular five-shift weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles, specifically driving curtainsider and trunking trucks.

• Adhere strictly to all safety and compliance regulations while transporting goods.

• Manage and complete daily delivery and collection schedules efficiently.

• Maintain accurate logs and use the digital tachograph (digi card) properly during shifts.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any defects.

• Work collaboratively with the depot and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Adapt to shift work including evening and weekend schedules as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 months experience as a Class 1 driver.

• Possession of a valid Class 1 licence.

• Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.

• Digital tachograph card (digi card) in possession and used correctly.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and ad-hoc shifts.

• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
