Commissioning Engineer

Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer for an initial 10–12 week contract to support our client in delivering cutting-edge automation projects across a diverse range of industry sectors. Our client is a respected automation solutions provider, delivering high-quality projects in areas such as Automotive, Warehousing, Airport Baggage Handling and Process Control Environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Onsite commissioning of automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, drives, and robotics
• Configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of control systems
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure seamless delivery
• Adhere strictly to health & safety regulations on all sites
• Provide technical support and documentation throughout the commissioning phase

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in commissioning automation/control systems
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, drive configuration and robotics integration
• Familiarity with control systems architecture
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Able to work independently on client sites

Requirements:

• Valid IPAF License (essential)
• CSCS or ECS card (site-dependent)
• Willingness to travel as part of the role
• Health & Safety compliance and awareness
