Description:
The team are looking for an ambitious Pre-Construction/Developmental Project Manager to join the project development team. You'll lead renewable energy projects through pre-construction phases, handling feasibility studies, business cases, grid applications, planning permissions, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Development:
- Lead project development for £500k to £3m projects.
- Support Senior Project Managers in complex projects.
- Ensure exceptional delivery and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Management:
- Be the main client contact, ensuring project objectives are met.
- Manage feasibility studies, financial models, DNO's and grid applications.
- Handle planning applications and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee third-party suppliers and project finances.
- Interface with clients and consultants at all project stages.
Internal Processes:
- Research new renewable technologies and market conditions.
- Manage key information and learning from each project.
- Contribute to in-house modelling tools.
Marketing & Business Development:
- Support Senior Management in proposals and business opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in renewables, construction, or engineering projects.
- Strong interest in renewable technologies and the energy market.
- Strong communication skills.
- Full driving license and ability to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Experience with Distribution Network Operators or local planning authorities.
- Modelling experience in Excel or other software.
- Relevant professional membership.
- Ability to speak a European language.
