Description:
Psicon, a specialist neurodevelopmental service, is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join their multi-disciplinary team. Working in collaboration with NHS trusts, Psicon provides autism and ADHD assessments and ensures high-quality psychological support and healthcare services.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will conduct NICE-compliant assessments for ADHD and autism in adults, determine treatment suitability, and provide clinical supervision while working in a hybrid setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct NICE-compliant ADHD and autism assessments for adults across NHS, private, and self-funded services.
- Determine clinical suitability for ADHD pharmacological treatment and create tailored treatment plans.
- Manage a caseload of patients undergoing titration and shared care.
- Provide clinical supervision for independent non-medical prescribers.
- Collaborate with and support primary care colleagues through training and guidance.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
- CCT in General Adult Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Psychiatry of Learning Disability, Rehabilitation Psychiatry, or Substance Misuse Psychiatry.
- Additional training in neurodevelopmental conditions (desirable).
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) for complex cases.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
