Description:
INEOS Automotive is seeking a Cost Controller to join its growing team in London. As a key member of the finance and planning function, you will be responsible for developing, controlling, planning, and forecasting the General & Administrative (G&A) budget, while supporting monthly variance analysis, forecasting, and executive reporting.
This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and rapidly growing automotive business, involved in the manufacturing of iconic 4x4 vehicles including the Grenadier and the upcoming Quartermaster double cab pickup. As a newly established business, you will play a vital role in shaping and implementing cost control processes from the ground up, working in an environment that embraces innovation, grit, and adaptability.
Key responsibilities include preparing monthly actuals versus budget reports, ensuring accurate accruals, conducting variance analysis, developing financial forecasts, liaising with cross-functional departments, and preparing ad-hoc financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Support annual budget and business plan development, collaborating with FP&A.
Provide monthly actuals from SAP and ensure accruals are accurately submitted.
Prepare variance analysis and full-year forecasts when requested.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor implementation results.
Act as the first approval point for purchase requisitions (PRs) raised by departments.
Coordinate project preparation with Project Controllers.
Deliver ad-hoc analysis and financial insights for management decision-making.
Studying towards or holding an Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent degree (preferred but not mandatory).
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Finance Analyst or in a similar financial role.
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulae).
Experience in building and maintaining complex financial models.
Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities.
Commercial awareness with a proactive “can-do” approach.
Ability to communicate and present financial data clearly, especially to non-financial stakeholders.
Excellent time management and ability to perform under tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting professional relationships.
Adaptability in a fast-changing environment with a problem-solving mindset.
