Credit Research Analyst

Mason Blake is currently recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, award-winning asset management firm seeking to hire a Credit Research Analyst for their Global Credit Team based in London. This role focuses on conducting in-depth credit research and generating insightful investment ideas, primarily within the Industrials sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading credit analysis within this key industry vertical and contributing actively to the broader investment strategy. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive fundamental credit analysis across the full bond capital structure and rating spectrum to generate well-supported investment ideas

• Closely monitor financial markets, company-specific news, and macroeconomic indicators to inform and refine investment views

• Produce regular investment notes articulating the rationale behind investment decisions and maintaining thorough documentation for fund holdings

• Contribute geographical or sector expertise to broader investment strategy discussions within the credit team

• Assist in performance reporting processes, including timely delivery of quarterly and ad hoc investment reports

Candidate Requirements:

• 3–6 years of experience in credit research, ideally gained within the buy-side, sell-side, or a credit rating agency

• Strong academic background; CFA qualification is preferred

• Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling expertise

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting research insights clearly and effectively

• Team-oriented individual with the ability to work collaboratively across functions
