Skillful, a founder-led and fast-growing consultancy, is hiring a Credit Risk Manager with expertise in Wholesale IRB LGD modelling to join its exceptional team. Working closely with major banking clients, this position offers full lifecycle involvement—from model build to validation—giving you end-to-end delivery ownership in a collaborative and thoughtful environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver complex IRB LGD credit risk modelling projects with minimal supervision

• Collaborate with clients on scope definition, data requirements, model design, and delivery

• Perform model reviews, validations, and regulatory gap assessments with strong analytical and technical rigor

• Act as a key stakeholder in building and maintaining client relationships

• Contribute to internal best practices, support junior consultants, and enhance the firm's delivery capability

• Represent the consultancy with credibility, expertise, and confidence in front of clients

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in credit risk modelling or validation within wholesale IRB frameworks

• Solid knowledge of LGD methodologies and evolving regulatory expectations

• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

• Experience managing client relationships and leading project workstreams

• Confidence to challenge assumptions, propose alternatives, and stand behind your technical assessments

• A proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach to solving complex risk challenges
