Data Analyst

Description:

Hisense UK is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Data Analyst to join their team in Leeds. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in transforming operational and financial data into meaningful insights that guide strategic decisions and improve overall business performance. The ideal candidate should be highly analytical, proficient in advanced Excel functions, and experienced in creating intelligent, user-friendly reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze Service KPI data to improve reporting and generate strategic insights.

• Conduct root cause and failure analysis on product repairs, identifying failure mechanisms and financial implications.

• Perform profitability and service cost analyses to support commercial and sales decisions.

• Prepare monthly financial and volume-based reports for senior leadership and headquarters.

• Monitor spare parts usage, identifying unusual trends and discrepancies.

• Create and maintain dashboards and reports on service and sales KPIs, highlighting areas for improvement.

• Investigate failure trends and assist in preparing robust quality claims when thresholds are exceeded.

• Lead efficiency initiatives, streamlining data reporting processes and adopting smarter data solutions.

• Undertake ad hoc analysis and tasks as required by leadership.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, and similar tools.

• Experience with VBA and macro scripting is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Access, Power Pivot.

• Basic knowledge of SQL is a strong advantage.

• Analytical and methodical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.

• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in reporting.

• Ability to draw meaningful insights from complex data sets.

• Strong communication skills, capable of presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
