Data Protection & Ethics Manager

Description:

As a key member of our Governance Services team, you will ensure adequate processes and controls are in place for ENWL to remain compliant with relevant data protection legislation and promote ethical business practices. You will also provide advice and support to colleagues across the organisation, including the Data Protection Officer.

In your first few weeks in this Data Protection and Ethics Manager role, you can expect to:

• Manage and support the development of the Data Protection team and ensure BAU activity is monitored and delegated accordingly, where appropriate
• Support the development of Electricity North West’s data protection compliance and assurance strategy
• Contribute to the establishment of appropriate policies and plans to ensure that the business is compliant with its obligations.

To apply for this Data Protection and Ethics Manager role, you will need a formal qualification in data protection or significant knowledge and experience of data protection and its application in a commercial setting. You will also require the following:

• Experience delivering through individuals and teams that are not direct reports
• Excellent communication and influencing skills – credible at senior management level with the ability to challenge constructively
• Business acumen and commercial awareness, utilities and regulated industry knowledge (preferred).
