Contract Aerospace Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

• Design and develop a range of mechanical high precision components
• Prepare scheme drawings, and detail manufacturing drawings for production
• Perform mechanical component development and integration
• Solve a variety of mechanical engineering issues and improve existing designs
• Utilise and use CAD packages to create designs

Contract Aerospace Mechanical Design Engineer

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing mechanical components/systems within the aerospace industry
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and specifications
• Accomplished using CAD/design software
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and geometric tolerances
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex design challenges.

• Contract roles available Inside or Outside IR35 (status to be assessed prior to engagement)
• Initial 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension due to programme demand
