We are seeking an experienced Director of Trading for GB Power & Gas to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing market relationships, securing trading limits, and implementing precise trading strategies under the board's mandate. This role is pivotal in driving growth while adhering to strict capital and risk constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and the market to win trading limits.
• Decide on and communicate exact trading strategies and limits for team members.
• Conduct daily analysis of risk and refine hedging strategies to optimize profitability.
• Earn and maintain respect from the commercial team, finance, junior traders, and middle office staff.
• Oversee end-to-end operations for hedging trades, including trading, operations, risk, settlement, accounting, and reporting.
• Communicate effectively with management and the board regarding trading performance and risk.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience in GB power and gas trading, hedging, and risk management.
• Strong understanding of broker and market relationships and structuring trades.
• Ability to drive profit and growth within strict mandates and capital/risk limitations.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to command respect across various teams.
