Description:
The Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA), an international NGO committed to combating environmental crime and abuse, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Programmes to join its Executive Team. This pivotal role will strengthen leadership capacity as EIA UK scales its programme and campaign operations to tackle pressing global environmental issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee programme strategies aligned with EIA’s mission, working closely with the existing Director of Programmes for coherence across all initiatives.
Lead and support change management processes to adapt to organisational growth and evolving priorities.
Collaborate with the Executive Director and other senior leaders on strategic planning for long-term organisational success.
Ensure seamless integration of programmes into EIA UK operations, fostering cross-departmental collaboration for maximum impact.
Manage risk and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and organisational policies.
Line-manage Programme and Campaign Leads, promoting a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture across office-based and remote staff.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven leadership experience at Director level in a non-profit environment, with responsibility for multiple programmes or campaigns.
Strong understanding of project and financial management, including budget oversight and resource allocation.
Skilled collaborator with experience working across Finance, Operations, HR, Communications, and Fundraising.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capable of public speaking, handling sensitive discussions, and inspiring teams.
Demonstrated ability to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in organisational culture.
Hours: 35 hours per week (excluding a one-hour daily lunch break)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Work Pattern: Hybrid (minimum two days in the London Islington office)
