Booker Group, the UK's leading food and drink wholesaler, is currently hiring dedicated and reliable Class 2 Drivers to join their dynamic Transport Team at the South Elmsall site. As a Class 2 Driver, your primary responsibility will be the safe and timely delivery of stock to a network of independent retail stores. This includes manual handling and handballing stock at delivery points—tasks that require physical stamina and a readiness to work in varying weather conditions. The role calls for flexibility in working hours and adaptability to changing delivery routes and schedules, sometimes at short notice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Class 2 vehicles to deliver stock to independent retail clients

• Conduct handball operations and manual loading/unloading of goods

• Navigate a variety of routes and delivery schedules, including temperature-controlled goods

• Deliver outstanding customer service to retail clients

• Comply with all driving, safety, and health regulations

• Accurately complete any required delivery documentation

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Must hold a Class 2 Driving Licence

• Valid Driver CPC qualification

• Strong customer service skills

• Flexibility to work 48 hours per week (overtime available)

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Prior experience with multi-drop deliveries or food logistics is advantageous
