Description:

Booker Group, the UK’s leading food & drink wholesaler, is hiring a Driver Class 1 Trunker to join its logistics team at the Banbury Depot, serving the Royton area. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring 48 hours per week, with shifts that may include Saturdays and public holidays. You’ll play a critical role in depot-to-depot transport, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while upholding food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate LGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly in accordance with UK driving legislation

• Adhere to food safety standards, maintaining the correct temperature in refrigerated transport

• Perform regular vehicle checks, fill in defect reports, and ensure accurate documentation accompanies every trunk (e.g., manifest, backhaul papers)

• Participate fully in driver debriefs and support other duties such as multi-drop deliveries, yard work, or shunting as required

• Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle at all times

Candidate Requirements:

• Essential:

  • Current LGV Class 1 Driving Licence

  • Valid Driver CPC Card

  • Good understanding of transport compliance and food safety requirements

  • Commitment to safe driving practices and teamwork

• Desirable:

  • Experience in trunking operations or food logistics

Working Hours:

• 48 hours per week

• May include weekends and public holidays
